Janine Pearson, M.S. CCC-SLP

After completing her Master's of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Janine resided in California's Bay Area for 20 years. She now serves as the owner and Lead Speech Pathologist at Cognitive Rehabilitation Services, specializing in traumatic brain injury recovery.

Janine has maintained her membership with the American Speech and Hearing Association for over 27 years, dedicating her expertise to the TBI population across various settings, including acute hospital rehabilitation, outpatient care, and in-home/community support. Her adept communication and educational skills empower both clients and caregivers to understand the characteristics of traumatic brain injuries and their potential negative impact on daily life. Additionally, Janine has actively collaborated within rehabilitation teams for worker's compensation cases, facilitating successful returns to work and school settings for numerous clients.

Functional TBI speech therapy sessions, designed for each individual’s needs and interests, are what Janine strives to provide for her clients.  Given the nature of mild traumatic brain injury, integrating therapy tasks which are important to each individual client are essential on the road to recovery.  She enjoys being creative with her therapy goals to provide individualized attention, enhance deficit awareness and maintain her client’s interest during their rehabilitation journey.  

When Janine isn’t working, she enjoys spending time her husband and their three children in Wake Forest, NC. She also enjoys outdoor sports, reading and cooking.
